Attendance and Absence Reporting
Absences and Attendance
All schools must now distinguish in their attendance registers between authorised and unauthorised pupil absence. It is therefore important that you let us know the reason for your child's absence on the first morning they are away from school if they are unable to attend due to medical appointment, illness or other unavoidable reason. When your child returns following an illness, please supply a note.
We will endeavour to contact you on your child's first day of absence if we have not heard from you.
Further information can be found in our Attendance Policy in the polices section of our website, here.

Attendance recorded in the academic year 2019-2020
DfE has laid regulations to remove the requirement to report pupils’ attendance data for the 2019/20 academic year, in recognition of the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on the possible attendance.
Holidays
We are not able to authorise any pupil holidays within term time. If children are taken out of school parents may be issued with a fixed penalty notice, this is a fine of £60 per parent per child which is payable within 28 days.
